Stockport Beer Week
Thursday 23 September to Sunday 3 October 2021
Name that Pub?
Cryptic photos showing mystery pubs, all different and taken at unusual angles or with signs blanked out, all from within the bounds of Stockport will be revealed during each day of the Beer Week. There is a starter for four [sorry Mr Gascoigne, we couldn't make it a starter for ten] which will be revealed shortly, followed by an extra pub revealed each day, making 14 in total. Your task will be to identify all the pubs, it's as simple as that! Identify both the pub by name and, because some popular names are repeated, its rough location, eg The Rovers Return on Coronation Street, Weatherfield, the exact address is not required. Identify as many pubs as you can, send them in, win prizes.
All entries will be entered into a prize draw - What is there to lose?
Here is the complete rundown on rewards:
- Every entry will go into a draw for a case of Robinsons beer.
- If you correctly identify at least 12 pubs, you will automatically receive 2 bottles of Holts Beer.
- If you correctly identify all 14 pubs, you will be entered into a draw for one of two prizes: First prize will be B&B for 2 at the Governor's House, Cheadle Hulme Second prize will be a gallon of beer at a nominated Greene King pub in Stockport Borough
Picking up prizes
All prizes will be distributed from the Angel Inn on Stockport Market Place (SK1 1EY) between 4pm and 7pm on Sunday 17th October or otherwise by priour arrangement with Jim Flynn (07917 596751).
